Читаю Дайамонда:
Vaupés River Indians are linguistically exogamous but much more strictly so: in over a thousand marriages studied by Jackson, only one may possibly have been within a language group.
А остальные 999, типа, межъязыковые.
Что-то тяжело поверить.
